Where Do the Three Concept Types Come From?
How do we know this categorization covers everything going on inside someone's mind?
I was asked this question a few weeks ago, and decided the answer is worth writing a little essay about.
In my research, I focus on three things that ran through people’s minds when they were working toward something. These three things are:
inner thinking, thoughts, pondering, reasoning
emotional reactions, feelings, moods
guiding principles, personal rules
But why these three things? Where do they come from? Do they represent everything we need to know about?
Read the whole essay on my Medium publication. (4 more minutes of reading) Learn the reasons why we look at past cognition to see these layers in each topic a person brings up. It’s not a representation of a “whole person.” People are more complicated than that. 😄
👉 Special opportunity: Learn to elicit these three concepts in your listening sessions. I am hosting a Practice series bundled with the Course starting 03-April-2024. One meeting a week.
